I am a free spirited, creative individual who mostly follows her dreams. I am a chameleon - colourful and always changing. I love life and think positively and abundantly pretty much all the time.

Whilst protective of myself, I choose to see good in most people and animals. I have never been bored in my life - there is so much to do and so many things to experience and explore.I believe that while some global issues seem overwhelming in size that any small thing you do to help does make a difference and we should never, never, never give up!I like to think that these feelings are portrayed in my art.

I LOVE COLOUR!! Acrylic really does it for me! I love bold stuff, glazes and layers. I have done quite a bit of traditional stuff in my time but abstract and impressionist style is more my thing these days.

Sculpture Workshops

Sculpture workshops are held regularly at the studio. They are run as a one day workshop with each person going home with a completed composite stone sculpture. Morning and afternoon tea and lunch are included in the workshop cost of $95 as are all materials. Daggy clothes are a must as this is dusty work! This workshop is great as a team building day and of course is tax deductible for businesses. Max 9 people per workshop. Individual attention given, no previous experience in sculpting or art talent required!

This beautiful acrylic was created without any brushes! It was lovingly painted using some scrunched up cling wrap and an old credit card! Many hours were spent laying down subtle layers of tranquil acrylic colours forming a journey through a creek bed in a rainforest in far north Queensland. Hopefully the peace and joy and fond memories were imprinted in the artwork forever!

It was another bag that came in and out of my life, this one left behind at the picnic.......who knows who is using it now.....it served its pupose in my journey.

This brightly coloured pair of legs, briefcase and red shoes are off to a job interview! This was hung in the "Bags" exhibition also and represented many experiences in my working life so far. The soles of the shoes have interesting faces and shadows of memories of the people who have journeyed along with me and become part of those many experiences. "Reflective Consciousness"

Another "Bags" exhibition painting, this painting reflects my feelings towards the pollution of the waterways in our world.... the floating plastic bag that potentially will end up in the throat of one of our beautiful turtles. Man's lack of conscious awareness and sensibility and sensitivity.

The deep viridian blue/green of the water and the cool green light of the plastic bag provide an interesting composition of colour and meaning. Selling price is $475 NOW SOLD

"Family Baggage"

Big Buddha

This large original composite stone sculpture of a Chinese Buddha stands 45cm high by 30cm wide and 16cm thick. It was lovingly sculpted over many hours and is very heavy. Non porous stone , it is suitable for display inside or outdoors. Is smooth to touch and ivory in colour.

The selling price is $350. This piece will need to be collected or freight charge can be quoted on interest.

My Favourite Bag

This painting was exhibited originally in my "Bags" exibition at the Logan Art Gallery in 2008. It represents a self-portrait using my favourite handbag as the vehicle for inspiration. The painting measures 104cm by 78cm framed and is an acrylic original. It has vibrant powerful colours and needs a well-lit open space for its better enjoyment.

The selling price is $475 and the painting needs to be collected from us or a freight price can be quoted and courier arranged.

Art classes are currently held every first wednesday of the month at Soul and Art Work Studio in Tanah Merah, Brisbane.

Relax and paint in a friendly atmosphere whilst looking out at the rainforest. Mosaic and decoupage are other options.
